All the little birdies...

go tweet-tweet-tweet!!

This post has a double intent -- to try out Slide and to promote a watercolor twibe started by my friend Connie Williams. The hope is that this will become a resource for watercolorists to share information and generally support each other. You need a Twitter account to get started, but then it's just a matter of joining the twibe and twying not to talk weally, weally stwangely evewy time you mention it!!

[Note: I changed the slideshow to gallery style after a friend commented that the original crazy visual transitions could trigger migraines in susceptible people. Added a few more birdies for your enjoyment too!!]

  1. The slide show is a great success Chris. Its a wonderful tool to showcase your work. I just love those ducks!

I'm on Twitter but haven't wrapped my mind around 'twibes' yet. :) Soon.

  3. Wooah, Chris! I'm not on Twitter and won't be - just too many other online things I'm attached/addicted to right now - but this sounds interesting. I liked the slideshow (couldn't get my last one to work for me) but having forced back a migraine this morning it was a bit anxiety-producing seeing the blares/stripes/paaazaaaahs of color before they became duckies. Love the duckies, though, love them all!

  4. Oh dear, Rhonda -- hope my crazy slideshow transitions didn't set you back. Having been through a time when I was vulnerable to headaches, I certainly sympathize. BTW, I had to copy and load the slideshow code a couple of times before it grabbed all the code and showed up on my post.

  5. Chris Beck, you are the best! Thanks for the cute blog post and for the referral to the Twibe. Your ducks send me gently back to simpler childhood days. It's quite a refreshing feeling! I love these delightful little guys and your expertise with highlights and shadow makes them waddle right off the page. Nice work my friend!

  7. Ah, Chris, you are tooo tweet!! Thanks for having a gentler transition from one little ducky to another - no problems watching this one several times. I'll keep in mind the code problem with the slide show - seems like I'm not the only one having problems once in a while getting it to "take" the whole code.
This makes me think of the song Rockin' Robin: all the little birdies on jaybird street, love to hear the robin go tweet tweet tweet (used to dance in my crib - so I'm told - to this song).

  8. Rockin'Robin it is, Rhonda!! Just listened to the Jackson 5 version on YouTube yesterday to refresh my memory for the lyrics. Great song!
