This week at Brush-Paper-Water...
Joyce Faulknor leads a very busy life. In addition to running Gallery 2611 in Redwood City, CA with her business partner, Guy Magallanes, she keeps a very full workshop calendar, teaching at venues around the country. And their 13-part painting series Art 2 Art, which they developed and produced over the past year, will soon be aired on a local PBS station.
I met Joyce last summer at her gallery and subsequently have encountered her at various local art receptions. It's always a pleasure to hear what she is working on and to see her latest paintings.
Please hop over to Brush-Paper-Water to see more of Joyce's beautiful work and then link to her website from there.

Dean,
ReplyDeleteJoyce and Guy Magallanes work together on the videos -- they both paint the same image using opposite approaches -- Joyce paints dark to light and Guy paints light to dark -- both paint in watercolor.
Chris,
ReplyDeleteI'm tapping you on the shoulder saying thank you:0) and giving you a Sunshine Award no need to mention it on your blog or even acknowledge you recieved it just read over on my blog why I selected you.
Thank you
Sincerely
Paul.
Thanks Dean! I will be painting a lesson on Cut Crystal on Artist Network TV, this will be filmed this May, not sure when it will be broadcast. ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Paul. You had no way of knowing that tomorrow is my dad's birthday -- he would have been 89 if here were still with us. I feel like you've given me a gift far beyond the sunshine award. Thanks for your very kind and thoughtful words.
