It came as no surprise to Thomas Schaller's fellow watercolorists that this painting was accepted into the 2010 American Watercolor Society show. Tom's move into fine art, after an illustrious career as an architectural designer and illustrator, seems like the most natural progression in the world, and his gifted handling of watercolor -- coupled with his clear love of his subject -- is getting well-deserved notice. It's been my privilege to get to know Tom through our online connections, and it's my pleasure to share his work with the readers of my blogs.
